FOSSiBOT F1200: what it can run

Kettles, fridges, laptops — what works and what doesn't.

Two numbers to understand

FOSSiBOT lists the F1200 at 1,024Wh battery capacity and 1,200W continuous AC output. Capacity helps estimate duration; output limits help determine which combinations of equipment can run. They answer different questions.

Kettles, fridges and laptops

Read the wattage on your kettle: any kettle rated above 1,200W exceeds the continuous AC limit. A fridge also needs its compressor startup demand checked, while laptops usually need much less power. Compare your actual equipment ratings rather than relying on the appliance name.

Use estimates honestly

The CircuitFox calculator can compare possible loads, but its usable-energy percentage is an assumption. This guide is planning advice, not a measured endurance review. Record your own test results and retain a margin.

Check the supplied instructions

Use the manual for charging methods, environmental limits and permitted use. Confirm the exact UK model and included accessories before ordering. Solar-panel compatibility requires electrical checks, and a battery power station should not be connected to domestic wiring through a mains socket.
